Write the reaction equation: ethane – bromoethane – ethylene – dichloroethane – acetylene – benzene

Let’s write the equations:
Н3С – СН3 + Br2 = H3C – CH2Br + HBr – substitution reaction, bromoethane was obtained;
C2H5Br + KOH = C2H5OH + KBr – exchange, ethanol is released;
C2H5OH = C2H4 + H2O – dehydration, ethylene is formed;
Н2С = СН2 + Cl2 = CH2Cl – CH2Cl – addition, dichloroethane is released;
C2H4Cl2 + 2KOH = C2H2 + 2KCl + 2H2O – exchange, acetylene was obtained;
3C2H2 = C6H6 – trimerization occurs on a hot carbon catalyst, benzene is formed.
In the course of the solution, the connections between the classes of hydrocarbons are shown: alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aromatic hydrocarbons. Benzene is of practical importance; it is used as an additive in motor fuel.
