2) SiO2 + K2CO3 = K2SiO3 + CO2 (when silicon oxide interacts with potassium carbonate, potassium silicate and carbon dioxide are formed);

3) K2SiO3 + 2HCl = H2SiO3 + 2KCl (when potassium silicate interacts with hydrochloric acid, silicic acid and potassium chloride are formed);

4) H2SiO3 = SiO2 + H2O (during the thermal decomposition of silicic acid, silicon oxide and water are formed).
