What is social stratification and what are its criteria?

Stratification is the existence of certain groups (strata) in society, a type of social differentiation, with the presence of a hierarchy among the social entities of a given system.
Stratification is based on natural and social inequality. The criteria for separation are education, income, prestige, social functions, rights and obligations, attitude to power, professional qualification level.
Each stratum covers people with approximately the same level of education, income, and lifestyle.
