| Find the mass of carbon dioxide in 400 liters of air under normal conditions, if it is known that the volume fraction of carbon dioxide in the air is 2%
V (CO2) – volume of CO2, Vair – volume of air, Vm – molar volume, n – amount of matter, mm (CO2) – molar mass, m (CO2) – desired mass of CO2
1) Find the number of moles of a substance through the volume of CO2:
V (CO2) = Vair * 0.02
n = V (CO2) / Vm
n = 0.36 mol (approximate value)
2) Find the mass of CO2:
m (CO2) = mm (CO2) * n
m (CO2) = 15.84 g
