How do insects differ from other arthropods?

Arthropods have a jointed body structure and a chitinous cover. These include crustaceans, arachnids and insects. Insects, unlike other representatives of the type, have a body consisting of three parts – head, chest and abdomen. They have three pairs of limbs. On the first and second segments of the chest – a pair of wings. Each segment of the abdomen has a pair of spiracles. The antennae are the organs of smell, and the palps are the sense of touch. In the internal structure, it is a system of trachea that carry oxygen to each organ bypassing the blood.
