Let’s make an equation, where: x is the smaller side, and 2x is the large side
Since the opposite sides in the parallelogram are equal, you need to find 2 values
The perimeter is the sum of all sides
Equation: x + x + 2x + 2x = 36
We give similar terms: 6x = 36, hence x = 36 ÷ 6 = 6cm (the smaller side)
2x = 6 × 2 = 12 cm (large side)
Answer: 6 and 12 cm (or 6, 6, 12, 12 cm)
