| A 200 μF capacitor is included in an alternating current circuit with a frequency of 60 Hz, and a 300 μF capacitor is included in a current circuit with a frequency of 50 Hz. Find the ratio of the capacitances of the capacitors.
Capacitive resistance is equal to Xc = 1 / W * C, where W is the cyclic frequency of the alternating current, C is the capacitance of the conductor.
W = 2 * π * f, where f is the linear frequency of the alternating current.
Then Xc = 1/2 * π * f * C.
Xc1 = 1/2 * π * 200 * 10-6 * 60 = 13.26 Ohm.
Xc2 = 1/2 * π * 300 * 10-6 * 50 = 10.61 Ohm.
Xc1 / Xc2 = 13.26 / 10.61 = 1.25.
The capacitance ratio is 1.25.
