Taking into account that a ball of a different diameter is made of the same material, to solve the problem, you can make up the proportion:

4 cm – 64 g;

5 cm – x gr.

Using the rule of the cross, we obtain an equation, solving which, we determine the weight of the ball, the diameter of which is 5 cm:

4x = 5 * 64;

4x = 320;

x = 320: 4;

x = 80 (gr).

Answer: The mass of a ball with a diameter of 5 cm is 80 grams.
