A Brief History of the Discovery of the Indian Ocean.

Since ancient times, many trade sea routes have run across the Indian Ocean. The ocean was mainly studied by sailors from India and Egypt. It is also known that B. Dias, Vasco da Gamma and A. Tasman also studied this ocean. Thanks to their research, the first maps with coastlines appeared.
In the era of the Great Geographical Discoveries, the Indian Ocean was studied with their expeditions by J. Cook and O. Kotseba. They measured indicators such as salinity and ocean depth.
At the beginning of the twentieth century, the study of the flora and fauna of the ocean began, and the relief was quite well studied by that time.
