A car with a speed of 66 km / h and a bicycle with a speed of 18 km / h drove out of the two cities at the same time towards each other. In 3 hours it remains for them to drive 46 km / h before the meeting. Calculate the distance between cities.

1. Find out how far the car will travel in three hours if it was moving at a speed of 66 kilometers per hour:

66 * 3 = 198 (km).

2. Let’s determine how many kilometers a cyclist will travel in three hours if he was moving at a speed of 18 kilometers per hour:

18 * 3 = 54 (km).

3. Let us find how many kilometers a car and a cyclist will travel in three hours, if the car has traveled 198 kilometers before meeting the cyclist, and the cyclist has covered 54 kilometers before meeting the car:

198 + 54 = 252 (km).

4. Determine the distance between cities, if when the cars drove three hours the distance between them was 46 kilometers.
