Let’s find the edge of the cube, provided that its volume is calculated by the formula: V = a³, and is equal to the volume of a parallelepiped with sides of 2, 4 and 8 cm.
Since its V = a * b * c = 2 * 4 * 8 = 64 cm³.
Proceeding from the fact that the volume of the cube = 64 cm³, its edge is 4 cm, since 4³ = 64.
