A cube with an edge of 1 dm is cut into cubes with an edge of 1 cm. If you build a tower out of these cubes, placing them on top of each other, then to what height would it rise?
As you know, one decimeter contains 10 centimeters. So, if you imagine a cube measuring decimeter by decimeter by decimeter and translate it into centimeters, you get a cube measuring 10 cm by 10 cm by 10 cm.
And inside this cube will contain:
10 * 10 * 10 = 100
cubes with edges 1 centimeter long.
When it was divided into parts, and a tower was built from these 100 cubes, you get a tower with a height:
100 * 1 cm = 100 cm = 1 m
Answer: the height of the resulting tower consisting of cubes will be 1 meter.
