We have a rectangular plot, one of the sides of which is adjacent to a house 10 meters long.

The word “adjoins” in this case can be replaced by the expression “pressed with one side”, respectively, the length of the rectangle is 10 meters.

The length of those other sides is in total equal to 130 meters, add the fourth side here and we get the value of the perimeter of our site.

P = 130 + 10 = 140 meters.

The second side of the plot is equal to:

140: 2 – 10 = 60 meters.

We find the area of the site as the product of the lengths of its sides:

S = 10 * 60 = 600 sq. meters.
