Since the side of the square is larger than the smaller side of the rectangle, it is impossible to cut the square in one cut. Apparently the square was made up of several pieces cut from a rectangle.
The area of the remaining figure is equal to the difference between the area of the rectangle and the area of the square:
25 * 18 – 19 * 19 = 450 – 361 = 89 (cm ^ 2).
Answer: 89 cm ^ 2.
