| Since the parallelogram has a sum of adjacent angles equal to 180, the angle BAD + ABC = 180. (1).
By condition, the angle ABC – BAD = 40.
Then the angle ABC = 40 + BAC.
Substitute this value into equation (1).
BAD + 40 + BAD = 180.
2 * BAD = 180 – 40 = 140.
Angle BAD = 140/2 = 70.
Then the angle ABC = 70 + 40 = 110.
