The root system is responsible for absorbing water and minerals that are dissolved in them. This is possible due to the presence of root pressure. In places where there are constant winds and hurricanes, plants have large and long roots, which can be several tens of times larger than the ground part of the plant. The starch is deposited in the form of granules in plant cells.
