| Add the equation of the straight line that passes through point A (-2; 6) and comes out with a plus direction of the abscis axis of an angle of 135 °.
Equation of a straight line with a known coefficient k and known coordinates of the point x1 and y1, through which the straight line passes:
y – y1 = k (x – x1)
The coordinates of the point are known, and the coefficient k is found as the tangent of the slope of the straight line:
k = tg (135 °) = -1;
y – 6 = (-1) * (x – (-2));
y – 6 = -x – 2;
y = -x + 4;
Checking the y value at x = -2:
y = – (- 2) + 4 = 6.
Answer: y = -x + 4.
