Australopithecus. This type can be divided into three subgroups:

Pithecanthropus. This species existed 1 million 700 thousand years ago.
Sinanthropus (known as the “Chinese man”). This ancient human ancestor lived 400 thousand years ago.
Cro-Magnon. The existence of this species, the closest to modern man, took place 30 thousand years ago.
