According to the condition of the problem, all sides of an equilateral triangle with a side length of 12 cm were reduced by 2 cm.Consequently, the sides of the resulting equilateral triangle turned out to be equal:
12 – 2 = 10 cm.
We find the perimeter P of the resulting equilateral triangle as the sum of all three sides of this triangle:
P = 10 + 10 + 10 = 30 cm.
Answer: the perimeter of the resulting triangle is 30 cm.
