All substances in the group will interact with carbon monoxide (4): 1) CaO H2O Ba (OH) 2 2) BaO H2O BaCl2 3) N2O5 H2O HNO3 4) KOH K2O SiO2

Substances in group 1) will interact with carbon dioxide.

1.CO2 + CaO = CaCO3. Calcium oxide interact with carbon dioxide. The result of the reaction is the substance calcium carbonate.

2.CO2 + H2O = H2CO3. Water interact with carbon dioxide. The result of the reaction is the substance carbonic acid.

3.CO2 + Ba (OH) 2 = BaCO3 + H2O. Barium hydroxide interact with carbon dioxide. The result of the reaction is two substances: barium carbonate and water.
