Aluminum reacts with substances of the composition: a) NaCl; b) Br2; c) Fe2O3; d) H2SO4. Write down the equations of the reactions taking place.

Aluminum reacts with the following substances: Br2, Fe2O3, H2SO4.

2Al + 3Br2 = 2AlBr3

2Al + Fe2O3 = Al2O3 + 2Fe

2Al + 3H2SO4 (dil.) = Al2 (SO4) 3 + 3H2 or

2Al + 6H2SO4 (conc.) = Al2 (SO4) 3 + 3SO2 + 6H2O (when heated, it is passivated in the cold and the reaction does not proceed).
