To find the power that the athlete in question had to develop, we will use the formula: N = A / t = F * S / t = m * g * h / t.
Constants and variables: m – athlete’s weight (m = 70 kg); g – acceleration due to gravity (g ≈ 10 m / s2); h – jump height (h = 200 cm = 2 m); t is the duration of the jump (t = 0.4 s).
Calculation: N = m * g * h / t = 70 * 10 * 2 / 0.4 = 3.5 * 10 ^ 3 W = 3.5 kW.
Answer: During the jump, the athlete had to develop a power of 3.5 kW.
