The god Set was considered the ancient god of the desert, destruction, chaos, thunderstorms and winds. He was credited with all the negative human sides and destructive power. Seth was considered the personification of evil. The Egyptians considered him to be the god of distant lands and sandstorms. He was opposed to light forces and good. Often represented as a jackal or a man with the head of a dog-like creature.
