Ancient people revered animals, why?

Animals provide leather and fur, down and feathers, honey, propolis, foundation. Bone meal is obtained from their bones, and in Antiquity they were used to make tools and they served as building materials. Insects pollinate the fields. Animals provide poisons and antidotes. Dyes are obtained from them. Tamed animals guard the house. They rode animals, plowed, fought. With all the listed benefits and advantages, it was simply impossible not to honor animals. They made it possible for a person to survive and give it now, although very often they pay for it with their own lives.
