| All terrestrial vertebrates, that is, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals, breathe with their lungs. The respiratory organs in arachnids and some molluscs are also called lungs (leaf-shaped).
Amphibians have pulmonary sacs + skin respiration.
Reptiles are cellular lungs.
Birds – double breathing (lungs + air sacs).
Mammals are the alveolar lungs.
