Are triangle ABC and triangle A1B1C1 similar if AC = 14 cm, AB = 22 cm, B1C1 = 26 cm, A1C1 = 28 cm, AB = 11 cm BC = 13 cm

Given: ΔABC and ΔA1B1C1, AC = 14 cm, A1B1 = 22 cm, B1C1 = 26 cm, A1C1 = 28 cm, AB = 11 cm, BC = 13 cm.

Find: ΔABC ~ ΔА1В1С1.

1) AB: A1B1 = BC: B1C1 = AC: A1C1.

11:22 = 13:26 = 14:28 = 2.

Hence it follows that ΔABC ~ ΔА1В1С1 – behind the third sign of similarity of triangles.
