A rectangle is a quadrangle, in which opposite sides are equal, its area is determined by the formula: S = a * b, provided that it is 24 cm², we find the unknown side if the length = 6 cm:
b = S: a = 24: 6 = 4 cm.
The perimeter (the sum of all sides) is calculated by the formula: P = 2a + 2b = 2 * 6 + 2 * 4 = 12 + 8 = 20 cm.
