Arthropods are carriers of human diseases. What diseases can they tolerate?
Arthropods that carry diseases that are dangerous to humans include insects.
They are mainly bloodsucking (mosquitoes), and diseases are transmitted by a bite through their saliva. Insects carry many diseases. The most common:
1) Malaria. It is carried by mosquitoes, which are the main hosts of Plasmodium malaria. Getting into human blood, plasmodium penetrates into erythrocytes and destroys them.
2) Sleeping sickness. Its causative agent is trypanosome, which is carried by the African fly.
3) West Nile Fever. It is caused by a virus carried by mosquitoes. It is widespread in Africa, but in recent years it has also been found in Russia.
4) Flies carry various bacteria that cause typhoid, dysentery, and ascaris eggs, so you need to cover the food left on the table with something, and also wash your hands before eating.
