As Friedrich justified || their claims to dominion over Christendom?

Frederick II, who reigned in Prussia, was unshakably convinced of God’s chosen person. According to the monarch, he was the head of the Christian world, being the heir to the Roman emperors and the henchman of the Lord himself, who entrusted him with a special mission. The rulers of other states had to bow before his power. Frederick’s aplomb was supported by actions – a peace treaty with the Sultan of Egypt on the transfer of Jerusalem to Christians, a struggle for Italian territories with the papal throne. However, many of his accomplishments failed during the king’s life, others were never realized.
