Body cavity in flatworms.

In flatworms there is no body cavity, therefore, between the internal organs and the skin-muscle sac, there is a loose connective tissue (parinchema), which performs a storage function, provides support for the body of the worms and the mobility of individual organs, participates in the formation of new body cells, in the processes of digestion and metabolism substances. The only exception is the presence of a body cavity in flukes and tapeworms at certain stages of their life cycle.
