Brown algae include: alaria, kelp, undaria and fucus. They live in deeper areas of the seas than green algae.
Their cells contain chlorophyll and fucoxanthin, which absorb mostly blue.
Thallus is yellowish-brown in color.
Asexual reproduction – by areas of thallus and spores.
