Brief description of the Indian Ocean.

Of the four existing oceans, the Indian is the second-to-last in terms of area and depth. The deepest depth in it is in the Sunda Trench, at around 7.2 thousand meters. The area of this ocean is 76.18 million square kilometers, and the volume of water is about 20 percent of the world’s reserves. It washes four continents: Antarctica, Asia, Africa and Australia. The width of the Indian Ocean, at the southern points of Africa and Australia is about 10 thousand kilometers.
