By what means are bacteria able to move?

Bacteria can move in a variety of ways, but most use flagella to move around. Flagella are organs of bacteria that act as limbs. Their length is approximately equal to the length of the body. The bacterium rotates the flagella and thus movement occurs. Some bacteria move without any special organs, but with the help of cell sliding or contraction, such as spirochetes and a separate group of sliding bacteria.
