The amount of substance in 10 grams will be N = 10/40 = 0.25 mol.
When 1 mole of calcium reacts, 1 mole of hydrogen is formed.
Therefore, when reacting with 0.25 mol of calcium, 0.25 mol of hydrogen is formed.
One mole of ideal gas under normal conditions takes up a volume of 22.4 liters.
Therefore, 0.25 mol of hydrogen will occupy a volume of 22.4 x 0.25 = 5.6 liters.
