| 1. Let’s compose the reaction equation for the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide:
2 H2O2 = 2 H2O + O2
According to the equation:
2 mol of H2O2 entered into the reaction;
O2 formed in the amount of 1 mol.
Let’s find the mass of oxygen by the formula:
m (О2) = n * M = 1 mol * (16 * 2) = 32 g
2. Let’s calculate the mass of the formed oxygen, making the proportion:
10 mol Н2О2 – х g О2
2 mol Н2О2 – 32 g О2
Hence, x = 10 * 32/2 = 160 g
Answer: m (O2) = 160 g.
