2. Find the chemical amount of nitric acid:
m (HNO3) = m (solution) * ω (HNO3) / 100% = 200 g * 10% / 100% = 20 g.
n (HNO3) = m (HNO3) / M (HNO3) = 20 g / 63 g / mol = 0.317 mol.
3. According to the reaction equation, we find the chemical amount, and then the mass of magnesium nitrate:
n (Mg (NO3) 2) = n (HNO3) / 2 = 0.317 mol / 2 = 0.159 mol.
m (Mg (NO3) 2) = n (Mg (NO3) 2) * M (Mg (NO3) 2) = 0.159 mol * 148 g / mol = 23.5 g.
Answer: m (Mg (NO3) 2) = 23.5 g.
