Calculate the mass of the salt that is formed as a result of the neutralization of calcium hydroxide with a mass of 14.8 g with hydrochloric acid.

2HCl + Ca (OH) 2 = CaCl2 + 2H2O.
1) Find the molar mass of calcium hydroxide: 40 + 32 + 2 = 74.
2) The amount of calcium hydroxide substance is: 14.8 / 74 = 0.2 mol.
3) According to the reaction equation, there is one mole of calcium chloride for one mole of calcium hydroxide. This means that the amount of calcium chloride substance is 0.2 mol.
4) Molar mass of calcium chloride: 40 + 35.5 * 2 = 111.
5) Mass of calcium chloride: 111 * 0.2 = 22.2 g – answer.
