Calculate the mass of the salt that is formed by the interaction of 102.77 g of lithium hydroxide

Calculate the mass of the salt that is formed by the interaction of 102.77 g of lithium hydroxide with a solution of sulfuric acid.

The equation of the ongoing reaction: 2LiOH + H2SO4 = Li2SO4 + 2H2O.
1) According to the periodic table, we find the molar mass of lithium hydroxide: 7 + 16 + 1 = 24.
2) Find the amount of lithium hydroxide substance. To do this, divide its mass by the molar mass: 102.77 / 24 = 4.3 mol.
3) According to the reaction equation, there is one mole of lithium sulfate for two moles of lithium hydroxide. This means that the amount of lithium sulfate substance is: 2 * 4.3 = 8.6 mol.
4) Molar mass of lithium sulfate: 2 * 7 + 32 + 64 = 110.
5) The mass of lithium sulfate is: 8.6 * 110 = 946g – the answer.
