Calculate the mass of the substance if the mass fraction of the solution, the volume of the substance

Calculate the mass of the substance if the mass fraction of the solution, the volume of the substance and the density are given: ω% -45, V (ml) -24, ρ (g / ml) -0.23

We will use the relationship between volume and mass and determine the mass of the solution:

m (solution) = V * ρ = 24 * 0.23 = 5.52 g.

Knowing the mass of the solution and the mass fraction of the solute ω, we calculate the mass of the solute:

m (r.v.) = m (solution) * ω / 100% = 5.52 * 45/100 = 2.484 g.
