Calculate the perimeter of a square with a side of 8 cm. Find the lengths of the sides of a rectangle

Calculate the perimeter of a square with a side of 8 cm. Find the lengths of the sides of a rectangle with the same perimeter, if they are written in single digits.

The solution of the problem:
First, we determine the perimeter of the square is 8 * 4 = 32 (cm);
Now we define the perimeter of the rectangle:
(9 × 2) + (7 × 2) = 32 (cm)
The 2 sides of the rectangle are 32: 2 = 16cm, if the numbers are single-digit then there are two options for the lengths of the sides:

16 = 8 + 8 or 16 = 7 + 9
Answer: the sides of the perimeter are 9 and 7.; the perimeter of the square is 32.
