Calculate the volume and surface area of a 10 dm cube.

By definition, a cube is a regular polygon in which each face is a square, from this it comes out that all the edges of the cube are equal.
1. The volume is found by the formula V = a ^ 3, where a is the length of the edge:
V = 10 ^ 3 = 1000 dm 3.
2. The surface area is found by the formula S = 6 * a ^ 2:
S = 6 * 10 ^ 2 = 600 dm 2.
