Calculate the volume of the side surface of a rectangular parallelepiped using three values 7cm, 4cm and 3cm.

| Since the parallelepiped is rectangular, all of its side faces are rectangles.
Let’s define the perimeter of the rectangle ABCD.
Ravsd = 2 * (AB + AD) = 2 * (3 + 7) = 2 * 10 = 20 cm.
Then S side = Ravsd * AA1 = 20 * 4 = 80 cm2.
The base area will be equal to: Sbn = AB * AD = 3 * 7 = 21 cm2.
Then Sпов = Sbok + 2 * Sсн = 80 + 2 * 21 = 122 cm2.
Knowing all three dimensions of a parallelogram, we determine its volume.
Vparal = AB * AD * AA1 = 3 * 7 * 4 = 84 cm3.
Answer: The surface area is 122 cm2, the volume is 84 cm3.
