Can chloroplasts become chromoplasts?

Chloroplasts and chromoplasts are plastids. Some organelles are capable of transforming into other types of organelles. This also happens with chloroplasts. They are responsible for the synthesis of glucose from inorganic substances. If this process stops, then chloroplasts are converted to chromoplasts. These organelles can be yellow, red, or some other color. We can notice this in the fall, when photosynthesis stops and the leaves fall off. But it is worth remembering that chromoplasts cannot convert back to chloroplasts.
