Can conflicts between nations be avoided? Why?

There are many reasons for interethnic conflicts:

– struggle for disputed territories;

– expulsion of the indigenous population from their territory and return to it,

– illegal incorporation of territories into other states,

– oppression of small ethnic groups and nationalities by the majority of residents of the state, their removal from the process of government, the oppression of their language, culture, religion,

– shortsightedness of politicians, incompetence in resolving interethnic disputes and contradictions.

As can be seen from the reasons, conflicts between nations at the present stage of development of society cannot be avoided, but the causes of them can be minimized. And the main role here is played by the desire and intelligence of the country’s leadership. The ability to prevent and smooth over interethnic conflicts testifies to the level of political maturity of state leaders.
