Can the resultant of two forces F (1) = 10H and F (2) = 4H be equal to 2H? 14H? Why?

In some circumstances it may, in some it may not. Let’s consider the resultant of two forces. In the first case, we will direct them in one direction, along one straight line.
1) We have: Fр = F1 + F2 = 10 + 4 + 14 (H).
Now let’s direct them in opposite directions to each other:
2) Fр = F1-F2 = 10-4 = 6 (H).
