Can you compare contemporary and primitive art?

It is impossible to compare ancient and modern art. When a Neanderthal drew drawings with a piece of stone on the wall of his cave, he relied on those images that he saw. That is why all the old drawings described scenes from everyday life: hunting for animals, cult dances, rituals. The ancient man did not yet have imagination, fantasy. Contemporary art has gone through a long stage of development; it changed with the advent of a new historical era. You cannot compare primitive art with modern art. Primitiveness is the basis of modernity, its foundation.
