The sum of the lengths of any two sides of any triangle must be greater than the length of the third side.

5 cm + 7 cm = 12 cm
But this number is equal to the length of the third side – 12 cm.
This means that such a triangle cannot be drawn.
While this is no longer necessary, two other comparisons can be checked if desired:
5 cm + 12 cm = 17 cm (this is more than 7 cm, everything is correct)
7 cm + 12 cm = 19 cm (this is more than 5 cm, everything is correct)
