Iron (III) hydroxide decomposes into iron (III) oxide and water:
2Fe (OH) 3 → Fe2O3 + 3H2O;
Iron (III) oxide reacts with hydrogen and forms iron and water:
Fe2O3 + 3H2 → 2Fe + 3H2O;
Iron reacts with sulfuric acid, we get iron (II) sulfate and hydrogen is released:
Fe + H2SO4 → FeSO4 + H2 ↑;
Iron (II) sulfate when interacting with potassium hydroxide forms iron (II) hydroxide and potassium sulfate:
