Causes and main events of the revolution in France in 1870

The French Revolution took place in 1871. The reasons:

1) Defeats at the front;

2) Failure of the government to make the right decisions;

3) Delays in the payment of salaries;

4) Government oppression of the population.

Thus, in Paris on March 18, a revolutionary government was formed, which received the name – the Paris Commune.

On May 28, the commune was overthrown. The reason for the overthrow of the Paris Commune was the lack of support from the rest of the country. Thus, the rebellion was suppressed and its leaders were sentenced.
