Causes of the revolution in Germany 1848-49.

In the middle of the 19th century, discontent of the population ripened in Germany, which grew into a revolution. The main reason was the feudal system that survived in Germany. The peasants and workers, who were very dependent on the feudal lords and nobility, wanted to change the established system of relationships, they wanted more independence and democracy. Also, one of the reasons for the revolution can be considered the desire of the intelligentsia and the petty bourgeoisie to create a national state. Both ideas coincided in time and united the above mentioned layers of the population.
